English version

TALANTIS FILMS is created in 1998 to provide short-films of excellent quality at bargain prices to new satellite and cable TV channels worldwide. Back then the market was completely inexistent which enabled TALANTIS FILMS to become the first company in the world to sell international short films to all the major networks.

During this period, the short film aspects changed in the young generations' mind. Surrounded by a culture of music videos, commercials and games, the audience developed an appreciation for this medium. The current catalogue includes a variety of genre like action, thrillers, 3D animation and comedy coming from majors as well as independent production companies, festivals or schools.

The films are broadcasted on more than 50 channels worldwide such as HBO, PBS, USA Networks, Universal Networks in America; Sci-Fi, Canal +, Channel Four, TVE and RTI in Europe; RTHK, Gaga Communication or Cinefil Inc in Asia.

In 2004, the company opened itself to a new activity as a DVD publisher with the "IMAGINA TRIPS" collection, a compilation of the best music videos, commercials and short-films in the world, created with special effects and computer animation. This product is distributed by Warner Bros in France and Nikkatsu Corp. in Japan.

TALANTIS FILMS signed with the Cannes Film Festival to develop the Short Film Corner and has presented the Star Wars Fan Films Awards in partnership with Lucasfilm (www.starwars.com).

In 2005, TALANTIS FILMS acquired the worldwide exploitation rights of the Imagina brand of the Monaco festival.

In 2006, the company remained attached to 3D animation and launched the first 3D animation festival for children with Publicis in Paris (www.festival-passages.com).

2007 is the beginning of the company's production work with an ambitious short-film entitled "1710 Steps".
